Bought these counter height stools to go in the kitchen several years ago and have been extremely pleased with the look and durability of the stools. I have two school age boys, who by no means are gentle on the furniture, and the stools look as good today as the day I bought them.[...] My only complaint (which might be considered a pro because of the piece's heft) is that it is relatively heavy and cumbersome to move around. My children tend to scoot these heavy kitchen chairs on the hardwood floors but if you apply felt pads to the bottom of each foot, you'll alleviate any marring of your floors. This was definitely one of my better buys.

Measure the area. These are very large, substantial stools. Expensive, but worth it in the quality, look, and because it swivels.
