Bought 4 of these and just ordered another. Good looking and solid. Assembly easy but time consuming because of the many screws used to hold it together. However, this is what makes it so solid.
The only thing that could use improvement is the type of wood product used for the seat top. There is some difficulty getting the wood screws to bite properly and if you tighten them too much the screw will pull out. Easily fixed by rotating the top around a little and trying again. You can't make them really tight, just snug.I suspect that over time the screws might pull out under heavy use. Better plywood or wider screws might help.

These are beautiful bar stools,just as shown in the picture. They arrived promptly and were easy to assemble. They look great at the kitchen bar. My only wish is that I should have ordered the 26" stool instead of the 30", it would be much more comfortable. My error! My husband had them both assembled before I realized, so I didn't bother to exchange them.

I am female and I had no problem assembling the stools. They feel sturdy enough to hold an elephant. We don't have elephants in our family but we have some big people.

I wanted these bar stools for our bar in the basement. It has a saloon edge (wood) on it so I didn't want a bar stool that swiveled and had a back because the chair back would bump into the wood and damage it. These are great to swivel from talking to someone behind the bar then swivel around to watch the big game on TV!
