I bought this product to change our grown son's bedroom into a guestroom going from a single bed to a queen size. We needed to replace the headboard attempting to match the furniture already in the room. The Hillside Oak Tree worked perfectly! It was a quality product that closely matched our furniture and really completed the room. My husband and I could not have been more pleased.

OAK?

I ordered it thinking it was made of oak, as the name implies, but it came with unsightly knots on visible places. It is made in Vietnam, I was not expecting a knotty wood. I returned it, but had to pay re-stocking fee, and shipping fees both ways, so I was out of quite a chunk of the cost. Anyway, it is made of solid wood, and in one piece, no assembly required, so it's not too bad, if you consider the knots as charm.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

I received this headboard today. This is Wednesday and I just ordered it on Saturday. I have been shopping for a new headboard for several months and finally settled on this one and I'm glad I did. It's solid wood and and looks more expensive than the price I paid. It is a little lighter than the pictures but still a very nice match to my existing furniture. I saw this headboard on other sights and your price was by far the best I found.

My son has yet to find time to attach it to my metal bed frame but that doesn't matter because it looks just fine set against the wall and the bed pushed up to it. This is a less than tall headboard but that is what I needed so the picture arrangement above the bed did not have to be changed. It's such a pleasure to own something in solid wood again.
