This twin size daybed features squared posts with grooved detailing and rounded finials, sloped arms and arched backrest with draped roped wire accents and medallion castings. It has a sturdy build quality that is reinforced by fully welded metal construction. A mattress supporting suspension deck is included. Extend its versatility by using it as a sofa in the home office or combining it with the optional roll-out trundle in the guest room for even more sleeping space.           Overall the bed is beautiful; and I think with a real twin size mattress and box spring it could even be comfortable. The free mattress (and the one I ordered separately) are futon mattresses so they're not exactly the hight of comfort, but this is for a basement/2nd guest room so its fine for my purposes.

          I think the biggest problem with it is that the frame that the mattress lays on is not level. The way it is put together, there is a bar running the length of the bed. I can't imagine that's going to be comfortable to sleep on with only the futon mattress. As I said, though this is for a basement bedroom for "just in case."

          Its a gorgeous bed though and very easy to assemble. It couldn't have been that hard since the whole time I was assembling it I had a black lab who insisted on playing and then chewing up the directions. :D

          Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
