      This is the first time I have ordered furniture on-line, but I took a chance based on the picture, description, price and, especially, other buyers' reviews. I ordered the queen Murray Platform Bed in mahogany in June 2009.I am completely satisfied! [...]This is not particle board or medium density fiberboard; it is solid wood and very nicely stained. It includes 14 wood slats that lay across the width of the frame which are connected by 2 strips of rugged fabric. There is 1 wood slat that attaches lengthwise to the 14 slats. In addition, there are 2 legs (which was a pleasant surprise for a queen as I only expected one) that screw into that wood slat for more support in the middle of the frame.The under-bed clearance is low - about 5.25 inches [13.5 cm] - so keep that in mind if you intend to store items under the frame.My husband (who put it together by himself with just my help laying the wood slats) is as pleased with the bed as I. It is simple but elegant. This bed frame is a fantastic buy - you can't go wrong.

          We sleep on this frame every night. We purchased a 13" memory gel foam mattress from another website and fell in love with the simplicity of this platform bed. It was easy to assemble, all the parts were in the boxes and it's low enough that our little dog and cat can get into bed. Our pittie just slides out of bed.

          We purchased the night stands as well. Love, love, love them.

          Followed assemble instuctions and discovered the bed frame was way too low to the ground. I reversed the side panels to add a few inches in height and then the middle legs were off the ground.I had to go to the hardware store to get screw extenders and L shaped supports for the ends. What a project and the bed still sags in the middle. I would not recommend for a kings size bed.Like I said great if you are a munchkin and less than 4 feet tall.

          Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

            I bought this frame because of a recommendation and price. It was easy to assemble but after putting it together we discovered that it was way too low to the ground. With a memory foam bed that was 12" on top of it was only 18" high. We reversed the side panels to gain several inches in height but then the center legs were too short(even with the screws fully extended). I had to go to the hardware store and add a threaded piece to the bottom of each leg. The bed frame is not as sturdy now because of this improvision. The bed frame should have been made with longer center legs and front and back pieces. I would not recommend buying this unless you are under 5 feet tall.

            Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

              Low profile but solidly made. Assembled in minutes. Purchased a 10" mattress and would recommend having a plywood board cut to rest on the slats for support if you are using a mattress without a box spring as I am.

              We are using the product for a 11year child and the low bed has worked great. It is supportive and nice. Although with really small kids you might want a box springs for added cushion for bouncing or accidental jumping. All in a great bed for the money.
