I bought this bed as a gift for my seven year old grandson. I am a 62 year old female and I put it together myself without any help. It took longer than it should have (4 hours) because the instructions are minimal and I kept mixing up the parts until I realized they contained identifying numbers. Most of the parts have numbers on them but some were missing and some were not easily visible so look carefully for the numbers as you unpack the parts. The slats are held together by stips of webbing that come in a separate plastic pouch which also contains the instructions for the slats. The webbing is not mentioned in the main instructions so find and locate them right away or you might miss them and if you do you might find it impossible to add later.

I only bought the bed a couple of weeks ago so I can't say for certain how durable it will turn out to be but so far so good. It is very stable, looks good, there are no sharp edges to cause injury and my grandson is having the time of his life. I really like the fact that the ladder is built in and is out of the way. Everyone is happy with the bed right now. I looked a great deal before deciding to buy this bed. The price was really competitive for this type of bed. It was marked down. The shipping was free and there were no taxes so I only paid the sale price.
