Strollers Buying Guide
Double Strollers: Room Enough for Two
Expecting
twins? Have a toddler and another baby on the way? A double stroller
is the solution for getting around with the least amount of difficulty.
Double strollers are available in two styles: side-by-side and tandem.
Think about your lifestyle and how you will use the stroller to choose
the right one for you.
Side-by-Side Double Stroller
A
side-by-side double-wide stroller is the more classic style of double
stroller.
What
It Is: Two seats face the same way so the children are in an equal
setting and can interact with each other.
Pros:
When folded, it is more compact and easier to store.
Cons:
Because they are
wider, side-by-side strollers are harder to maneuver through narrow
doorways, hallways and in crowded city streets.
Tandem Stroller
Instead
of a two-across double stroller, a tandem
stroller often has a more modern look, takes up less space
and is more convenient for on-the-go parents.
What
It Is: In a tandem stroller, one kid sits up front and another in the
back at a lower height.
Pros:
When open, it is more compact and easier to maneuver around tight
spaces.
Cons:
Because the children are not side by side, they will be more isolated
and not able to interact with each other.
