    Beautiful Piece- Difficult to Assemble

    Comments about Crosley Furniture Cambridge Solid Granite Top Kitchen Island in Classic Cherry Finish:

    I bought this kitchen cart because I needed additional storage and it was a replacement piece for a basic microwave cart that had open storage. [...] I am accustomed to RTA furniture so consider myself as an expert when it comes to assembling. However, my skills were challenged with this piece.Issue 1 - The starter holes for the screws were too big. Therefore, the screws were not "grabbing" the wood and never tightened. I had to buy replacement screws that were thicker in diameter.Issue 2 - The holes for the wood dowels were too large. The purpose of wood dowels is to provide additional support in holding the pieces together....not in this case. The holes were so large the dowels kept falling out. I had to reinforce with wood glue.Issue 3 - The camlock screws needed to be adjusted in order for the bolts to lock. This was extremely frustrating! Typically you would screw in the camlock (no thread is showing) and then attach via the bolt. Well....I would screw it in...and the bolt wouldn't lock so I would have to adjust the height of the camlock by either loosening or tightening. RIDICULOUS. Due to all of these issues it took me, my sister and husband 4hours to put this cart together. Yes 4 HOURS...and we are not novices when it comes to RTA furniture.I am ranking this as a 3 only because it was so dang difficult to put together. However, once it was together it is beautiful.

    Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
