Regal Walsall 26" High Wood Barstool With Cross Hatch Backrest

I did a lot of searching on the internet and visited at least a half dozen local store looking for a counter height stool with b
ack rest that would match my natural maple kitchen on one side of the counter and my brown leather couch on the other. I was amazed how difficult it was to find a light colored chair. Most these days are dark bergundy or black like the one pictured on this site. I wanted natural maple. I took a gamble on this set, ordering the "Natural" finish. I think it is Beach and it turned out to match my kitchen acceptably. I ordered the "El Diego Golden Brown Vinyl (Grade 2)" covering on the seats and they look really good, matching my brown leather couch nicely. The colors were a gamble, but the confort of the seat was not a gamble because I found a local store that carried the same model of chair (though in the dark color that I didn't want) and I tried it out. It is a very comforable chair to sit in. Enough padding for a bony butt, but not so padded that you sink into it. The seat back is also comfortable, nicely curved, and supportive.[...] I haven't used them for very long yet. My only concern is very nit-pickly and isn't serious enough to affect my rating of the chairs...it is that the cross-members connecting the legs are secured on the bottom edge by little metal L-brackets and where the members join to the legs they don't all fit super tight. Some have a hairline of space in them. I'm a picky perfectionist so I noticed these small lapses in craftsmanship, but if I required perfection I probably could have shelled out the cash for chairs in the $225+ price range rather than the $160- range. Most people probably wouldn't notice this anyway. I just hope that it doesn't affect the ability of the chair to withstand use/abuse from my kids or from heavy adults. The chairs look well built and pass my 160lb wiggle test (the chair doesn't wiggle much when I wiggle), so I'm happy right now and would definitely buy more of them if I need more or buy them again for another house.

Hillsdale - Bradford Brown Cherry 26" Swivel Counter Stool
- Shopper in
These bar stools are very attractive dark distressed wood with an embossed/engraved design front and back. They are "chunkier" t
han your average stool, very heavy duty with a large round padded dark brown faux leather seat which is very easy to clean especially if yu have children! One of the selling points for me was that the seat turns 360 degrees which is perfect because my TV is behind the bar so you can turn all the way around and watch games, etc. They were fairly easy to assembe although one of the stools was a little more difficult because the holes seemed to be drilled incorrectly but in the end we did not want to hassel with returning and made it work. Would recommend these for a family as they are pratically indestructible!
