    • 1. Operational Life
    • The operational life of LED lamps is 100,000 hours or 11 years (over 1 decade) of continuous operation
    • The operational life of incandescent bulbs is approximately 5000 hours
    • Using LED's would virtually eliminate the need for routine bulb replacement
    • LED bulbs last 10 times as long as compact flourescents, and 133 times longer than typical incandescent
    • 2. Cost
    • With incandescent bulbs, the largest cost of the bulb is the cost of replacement bulbs and the labor expense and time needed to replace them. Most incandescent light bulbs blow out within a year whereas LED light bulbs can be used easily for a decade without burning out

    • LED circuits operate at 80% efficiency, meaning that 80% of the electrical energy is converted to light energy and 20% is lost as heat

    • LED's can decrease by 50% the global amount of electricity used for lighting
    • LED's can decrease by 10% the total global consumption of electricity

      We ordered the fireplace as a decorative accent but it has proven to be much more - the extra heat has been just what was needed during this cold winter. The flames are great, and the ability to adjust height, heat, crackle, sparks and embers at the touch of a button allow us to set the mood. It was a perfect Christmastime addition and all our friends were envious.

      Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
