About the Artist
Liz Clay is the artist behind Cici Art Factory. As a graduate of Emily Carr Institute of Art and Design in Vancouver, Canada, Liz has had numerous solo and group shows.
When her first baby was born, Liz's artistic interests changed as she became more interested in simply creating art for her little girl to enjoy. The first whimsical portrait Bird's Nest, was inspired by the huge tangles in her daughter's hair every morning. The portrait series grew based on the wild hair and rosy cheeks of this first character.
Liz even selected the name for her new original art business because "Cici" was the name her youngest daughter gave to her milk bottle. The Lotsa series stems from the company name as Liz has always held a fascination with factories. The first Lotsa piece featured rows and rows of black and white milk bottles. Liz later added vibrant complementary colours and the series came to life.
