      I have a home office that needed some bookcases not only for holding my computer books, but also to add some decoration to the room. I purchased 3 of these bookcases to line up against the back wall.

      I really like these bookcases. They match the decor of the room perfectly (I have a nice dark cherry/mahogany desk) and have nice trim that finish the look. I have only 2 (minor) issues with these bookcases:
      - The nails that are used to attached the metal cuffs above and below the side trim were too short in my opinion. I was confident that they would really hold the cuffs as it was moved around and once they fell out, they wouldn't hold anymore. The solution was to use some nails used to attach the backing and they work great. They were a little tricky to get through the cuff hole, but they hold great
      - The backing is folded in the box. I understand why this is done (to fit everything in the box). When you put it on and the bookshelves are bare, you can easily see the 2 vertical creases. However, those creases do disappear once you start fill the bookcase with books. I was going to to purchase a sheet of bead-board and paint it a glossy black as an alternative, but I'm fine with this for now.

      My 3 bookcases are placed side-by-side to each other and I will eventually attach them to each other. The trimwork is deep so I can do that without the bolts/screws being visible. It looks like you can also install flush-mount light at the top because the face trim comes down a good 2 inches.

      I couldn't be happier with my purchase..

      This bookcase, once assembled fits nicely into our family room. There were four metal pieces that attach as an ornament with just a very small nail(tack) and it doesn't stay on very well. I would recommend either a longer nail enclosed rather than the little one provided.

          I absolutely love this bookshelf . Looks great. Very sturdy. Just the right size (doesn't take up so much room that it leaves no room for complimentary furniture). Being very, very bad at reading & following assembly instructions, I only wish it came assembled. I for one would be more than willing to pay the additional charges. At least I would like the option.

                  This bookcase is just about perfect. Instructions for assembly were easy to follow. The finished item looks amazing, very rich. The draw-back is the porous and brittle press board and very thin wood laminate. Having purchased and assembled Bush furniture in the past, their "Made in China" products just don't measure up.
