      This office set from Bush Furniture looks great when assembled. It's sturdy and well designed. All the screw holes, etc. are in the right place and drawers/doors are adjustable for fit. But, let's be for real. It is particle board furniture made in China. The "Maple Cross" finish is like a wallpaper laminated onto the particle board. But, for a home office it looks and functions quite well. If you ever scratch it, though, you can forget about repairing it. There's no sanding and refinishing this type of laminated finish material. Give yourself plenty of time to put it together. It took me 12 days to assemble all the pieces. Absolutely every single stick of it has to be put together. It's amazing how they are able to pack it all into five long, flat boxes. Each box is extremely heavy - one person cannot lift them. I had to unpack and transport piece by piece to the room where the final assembly took place. Everything arrived in great shape [...]The pros are that, given there was an enormous number of pieces to put together, including literally hundreds of fasteners, everything was included-right down to the last screw. I broke one cam bolt (they're kind of cheap) and Bush replaced it for free, however, they sent me the wrong part the first time. The two-drawer lateral file cabinet was practically perfect. My only complaint about the book case is that two pan screw heads, which connect the rear two feet, are clearly visible on the bottom shelf. The instructions are well designed and pictorial, with very little written instruction material. Anybody could assemble this furniture using these instructions by paying just slight attention to the details. The furniture, once assembled, is extremely heavy. I would strongly recommend buying those Teflon coated furniture sliders and putting them onto the bottom of the feet of each piece to make them easy to move around after assembly. By doing that, I can move even the L-shaped desk with hutch by myself. The L-shaped desk has a lot of flexibility in set-up in that you can put the hutch on either desk section and also the 2-drawer pedestal and the CPU storage pedestal are interchangeable in their placement. My only other comment is that wherever they use flat head screws they do not countersink the screw holes, which leaves the screw heads elevated above the surface - a bit annoying.
