I purchased this computer desk for use in my in-laws home office. Although the assembly time is long and tedious, the directions were adequate and the assembled product was worth the effort.This is a very attractive and functional desk at an unbelieably low price.[...]Because of the particle board type of construction this furniture is very heavy and not easy to move once assembled.Would highly recommended it to anyone with more time and patience than money.One more thing, the desk has a small enclosure with a door that can be used for a PC tower. This enclosure has a back which can cause a potential heat build up that could be a problem for a computer. I will be installing a small exhaust fan (that I bought serparately) to cool down the compartment.

I do alot of work from home so i needed a decent size desk but didn't have alot to spend. This desk worked out great. Nice looking, lots of space, and decent/good quality. Its not top quality and the drawers are a pain to adjust but for under $400 [...] its hard to beat. Like the other reviews said, it does take awhile to assemble, 3-4 hours, but the directions are pretty easy to follow.

I purchased this desk (with hutch and lateral file cabinet)for my work office. It looks great! It has a very sturdy construction with good hardware. I've read some reviews stating that it scratches easily... They're right. But immediately after I assembled it, I measured the desktop and ordered a glass top for it (about $100). It really made a big difference. I recommend everybody does the same, for any desk of this kind.
Assembly takes some time, and it helps out tremendously if you have a second pair of hands to sort out hardware and hand it to you, and to help with mild lifting.
After assembled, it becomes very heavy and difficult to maneuver, so plan on putting it together near the place you want to use it.
I get many compliments on it and would recommend it to others.

This is a nice desk, because both sides are finished, it makes it very versatile. Have fun if you ever want to move it. In fact, make sure you set it up right where you want it.

This product is very attractive and sturdy, however, the tower compartment is not functional for easy access to connections or to displace heat but it is great for general storage. As an alternative, I put the tower under the side desk and still have plenty of main desk leg room.

Even though the assembly does take a good 8 hours, all parts, materials and related hardware are well labeled numerically with the pictorial instructions being easy to follow and understand. I was impressed with how well all the pre-drilled holes, etc. lined up and fit together perfectly.

It should be noted that once assembled the L-shaped unit is not designed to be moved in one piece, therefore its best to assemble as near to its final location as possible. In the event the desk may later need to be disassembled and relocated, I omitted gluing the desk tops to the top pegs on the two cabinets and back walls as instructed with no adverse affect noted.
