        Assembly instructions are clear, even though it is done in pictures, not words. All assemblies went together well. One issue, inserting the drawers into the roller mechanism requires force. Once they are in place, they glide beautifully, but they are hard to take out/reinstall.

          Since there are so many pieces, read the directions first on the lateral file cabinet and you won't have any problems. If you also ordered the hutch, NOTE do not put the drawers in yet and DO NOT put the top on the lateral file until the hutch is attached to it. You'll see why; no problem, just easy to overlook.

          Very dissappointed in fact that holes for attaching were not drilled (cutout) requring the assembler to locate and drill in a least two places. The directions themselves need work as it is not easy for customer who does this assembly infrequently to follow directions. Needs more dtailed on diagrams and instructions.

          I really like the look as well as function of this product. When assembling, I had to call customer service to be informed that what I thought was a missing part was taped inside one of the construction pieces. That instruction was not clear on the assembly sheet.

          The file cabinet was easy to assemble and can be done by one person. The drawers are heavy; follow the assembly and installation directions exactly! Lining up the drawer with the runners is tricky. If only one person is doing the assembly, it's helpful to place a box next to the cabinet to support some of the drawer weight while you are lining it up. Again, it's very important to follow the instructions exactly. After they are lined up, you might have to open and close the drawer a couple of times before they run smooth.

          Remember to level from side to side and front to back. Also, I did not like the gunmetal hardware. This was easily changed to an antiqued brass finish by using Rub'nBuff gold leaf, then stippling on top with black paint. Looks great!
