We are using this as a computer desk. It is roomy, elegant looking and sturdy. Our only complaint is when you put your hands on it, it leaves fingerprints. Could have more drawers or a "file cabinet type" drawer. The assembly directions were NOT user friendly - there were NO words, only pictures. You should be experienced to put this together without a lot of hassle. A pen for touchups would be nice.

STURDY ATTRACTIVE DESK PURCHASED BY MYSELF FOR COMPUTER BASED WORK I DO FROM MY HOME. UNIT WAS DELIVERED AHEAD OF SCHEDULED DATE. BOX HAD ONE CRUSHED CORNER NO APPARENT DAMAGE NOTED. DESK HAD A FEW MISSING SCREWS/ NAILS & DOWEL PINS BUT I HAD EXTRA ON HAND. EXTRA SMALL PLASTIC COMPONENTS IN BAGS NOT IDENTIFIED OR USED ON THIS MODEL. DIRECTIONS NOT AS CLEAR AS I WOULD LIKE TO SEE. STICKERS THAT IDENTIFIED PANELS,IN TWO CASES STICKERS WERE LOT LEGIBLE MADE HARDER TO IDENTIFY CORRECT PANELS STICKERS DID COME OFF VERY EASY. WISH THE TWO TOP DRAWERS WERE DEEPER. OVERALL VERY PLEASED AND WOULD RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT.

It would be perfect if the backing was wooden instead of paper. Turnign it around to face the wall is not an option for my office.

The one thing about put together furniture is if you don't see immediate damage doesn't mean that there isn't any. The impairements were slight and only the person putting together would notice. Weak spots where the pre-drilled holes were too deep and caused cracking, a few scratches here and there.
The company should include a touch up colored pencil.
Overall - It's a nice inexpensive piece of furniture. I love the rich color and it's got more room than I thought!

Be VERY VERY careful when taking the stickers off. (Even that might not help). My boyfriend and I were putting this thing together last night and he took one of the stickers off and it pulled the cherry finish off. You barely scratch the finish and it comes off and the wood they give u is kinda cheap. It happened with more than one sticker. We go to put the nails in on the cardboard that covers the back of the hutch and a big chunk of wood breaks off. Also the desk was a little bit bigger than I wanted. Didn't expect it to take up that much room (even though I used a tape measure and measured it out). If you're wanting a smaller desk this is not for you. Don't get me wrong. It's a beautiful desk, but I just wish it had been of a little bit better quality since I did spend A LOT on this. I bought both the desk and the hutch. Now I gotta see about getting replacements parts.

Everyone in the office is jealous!
I bought the desk and the matching hutch to use in my new office. It is rich looking and sturdy and comes at a great price. But I don't tell the girls that part.
