Bronze Metal Furniture
If you are after a metallic finish but you want a warm look, bronze is the perfect choice. Bronze is the perfect alternative to cooler metals. It's a metallic version of trendy brown which means it works well with the mocha and espresso color schemes that are trendy. Bronze can look antique or totally modern. Cymax has a large collection of bronze metal bedroom furniture, including headboards, to choose from. Read More
A bronze metal headboard is a classic choice that adds a romantic flair to any bedroom. Add a dose of old fashioned charm in your choice of king, queen, double or single size frames.
Try a version with straight, rectangular lines and decorative finials. Slightly raised bed posts of thicker stock create a regal look in contrast to the thin stock of the middle supports. Castings at each joint add interest. Or go for a slight update. A modern take on the bronze headboard with a more contemporary feel has arched details but simple finials and fewer decorative joints. Another contemporary bronze headboard has a subtly arched back and a thoroughly modern design. Either modern option still retains a romantic feel but is a bit more unexpected than a classic design.
A bronze metal bed can also have a romantic Tuscan feeling. A gently curved bronze headboard with twisted rope spindles capped by extra scrollwork make this bed truly a standout. This headboard has an antique-inspired flair that will transform your master bedroom retreat.

I bought this headboard because I needed a place to put things, but don't really have space in my bedroom for nightstands. This
headboard not only fits the bill, but it looks great. I can store my books, magazines, glasses, creams, lotions, etc. in what amounts to four good sized cubby holes and two bed-long shelves. The best part about it is the shelves are reversible. You can put them either to the left or the right, depending on how you want to set up your bedroom.
Now, while the directions "require" you to have 2 people to put this together, it's not exactly necessary. Just lay it on the floor and manuever everything into place as if it were standing. I put it together alone, and didn't have any real problems.
Note: this unit is NOT for people who use their furniture hard. You do get what you pay for, as in it's made of MDF with an espresso veneer. But if you don't abuse your furniture and you read up on how to keep MDF clean (Don't soak it with water or cleaning fluids!!! Use furniture polish wipes.) it should last for years.
Also, if you're going to put together furniture, invest in a rubber mallet to tap the "wood" into place without damaging it, a small, lightweight hammer for nailing in cardboard backings, and a palm sized cordless screwdriver - great for tight spaces and getting in the many, many screws that come with these sorts of DIY projects. It's the best way to make sure the furniture goes together securely and doesn't wobble.
