      I just purchased two sets of the chairs for use in my eat-in kitchen and they are working out well. I am not very good at putting things together, but with a little effort I was able to do so successfully. My only complaint is that on two of the chairs the wood plugs that hide the screws don't fit well and I will have to glue them in place. I haven't used them enough to comment yet on wear and tear, but they seem sturdy - I can see some of the varnish wearing or scratching easily, perhaps. I feel that they were a good buy for the price.

      Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
