            Liked the looks of the cabinet when I first saw it online. Once it was delivered, I was not disappointed.

            Unfortunately, I did not read the description thoroughly enough before purchasing. "Optimal filing" means you can file from right to left or left to right. I wanted side-by-side filing.

            The package arrived with one piece having a small nick. It is in the front, but low; so decided to leave be.

            There were copious pieces, but directions and labelling were sufficient that I was able to assemble without having to call a 1-800 number. It took time and patience, but was doable.

            The next surprise was that, among the parts, there was a single caster. As I worked through the assembly, I realized that the caster supports the bottom drawer. The bottom drawer actually rolls on this caster and it is necessary for the drawer's support. The cabinet is in a home office, so the carpet had to be moved out of the drawer's way. Surprise.

            It turns out that the top drawer could easily use the support of a caster, too. But, of course, what's it going to roll on?

            One needs to be prepared when opening the top drawer lest the cabinet tip over. There is no system to assure that only one drawer opens at a time.

            The cabinet looks stout. If you like its looks and are going to use it for home use, not for daily business work, and you're not going to fill it with files; buy it.

            Brace yourself! It will take a couple of hours - yes hours - to assemble this file cabinet. The design is pretty good, but the instructions are adequate at best and there are a huge number of parts. I consider myself pretty handy, but in retrospect it would have made much more sense to by an assembled cabient for about $50 more. The manufacturer has an 800 #, but the fact that I had to call was not a good sign. The quality is passable, but barely.
