Baby cradles are an old-fashioned nursery stand-by but for a very good reason: new babies enjoy the gentle rocking sensation so much that they are likely to fall asleep immediately. Most baby cradles also come equipped with a locking mechanism for when you want the cradle to remain stationary. Please note that cradles are recommended for babies up to 20 lbs (about 6 months of age) or until your child can roll from side to side or pull itself up.
