The Atlantic ATL63135237 Max Steel 12 Tier Media Rack provides a good solution for users with a lot of media. At 76.75" high, the floor to ceiling space is used quite effectively, and the width and depth (33.38" W x 8.13" D) means that the unit is unobtrusive and can be placed in a variety of locations. One of the downsides to the dimensions, however, is that the shelving unit more than likely will have to be secured to the wall with the support straps (included). Mine are sitting on cut pile berber carpet directly over a concrete slab, and getting the unit to sit straight and flush to the wall is a serious issue, despite the inclusion of the leveling feet on the bottom of the unit. Assembly time is fairly quick, maybe as a little as 30 minutes once you figure out what you are doing (the instruction sheet could be a little clearer), but more like 45-60 minutes for a first-time buyer. During assembly, it is useful to have a DVD (or CD) on hand to help with spacing the shelves, especially if you have a mix of DVDs in standard cases and specialized/novelty packaging. I used the top shelf on the unit to hold unconventional DVD cases and then sized the remaining shelves for regular DVD cases. (If you assemble for DVD and/or DVD+CD or other mixed media usage, you will have some shelves left over.) This unit would also be a good storage solution for video games.

Great for storing a large collection.

This product is very useful for anyone that has a large collection of Compact Discs or DVD's. Unfortunately I must recommend that the quality control crew beat up the assembly crew. The quality of the assembly of the shelves leaves something to be desired. If it was not for that issue I would have given the product a perfect rating.
Installation instructions should be updated to read:
1) Attach feet to lower vertical rods.
2) Do not attach the upper and lower vertical support rods together until you attach shelves to lower vertical support rods making sure the rear of each shelf is oriented correctly.
3) Be sure spacing between shelves is correct for the media you are storing.
4) Attach upper support rods to lower support rods by screwing upper support rods into lower support rods.
5) Complete installation of upper shelves.

I attached two racks together back to back using Three Inch long 5/16 carriage bolts, nuts and washers to form a room divider.

I use exclusively for CD storage. It stores 25% more than previous wooden product. Assembly was easy and product is stable. It is important to first adjust legs so that front height is higher than rear. Shelves should be installed bottom to top. All hardware was received in good condition except one weld on one shelf was broken (not a problem). The dividers are easy to use but some are not true(warped) and will not work.

This is by far the best rack you can get when looking for lots of storage space compared to price. It is sturdy and holds all your items without sagging or leaning. It is somewhat of a pain to assemble, but it is worth it. Not as nice as the higher end wood units you can get, but it is just a fraction of the cost so it is a very good purchase.

well first off when i got your e-mail asking how i like the reason order i had placed,i was under the impressition that some one hasd used my cerdit card to buy something from you,there was no indication you were talking about the dvd storage unit i had bought from about a mouth ago,it would be very helpful if you and your follow up crew would ID the product you are asking about so you dont confuse people by saying that they have just bought something and your asking how they like it...on the other hand the dvd storage unit is great,thank you for asking,
