          I assembled the bookcase myself with no difficulty and it fills a small space beautifully. It is just what I needed for an overflow of books. The fact that the shelves aren't so deep is a real plus because there is no wasted space. It is functional and very attractive and I would recommend it to a friend.

          Assembled well. We mounted it on a very shallow shelf that masks a cinder block foundation so it is 4 feet above the floor and presents a built-in look for books & objects. Great for the price.

            I use the bookcase in my front hall to temporarily store items I need to take with me, eg, library books, , outgoing mail, etc. instead of stacking stuff on the floor next to the front door (messy...). I added casters to the bottom so that the bookcase can be wheeled into another room so that the front hall will be wide enough for my friend who uses a wheelchair to enter easily.

            Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
