[...] However, it was worth it. We looked around at so many beds online and in stores, so once we found one we liked, we weren't going to cancel the order due to delayed manufacturing. Assembly was included in the price, so it made the deal even more attractive. We actually ordered 2 queen sized beds so we could put them in our kids' rooms. I think they will last the kids' a long, long time. The beds look beautiful and appear sturdy. We do have a box spring and mattress combo, but I would consider looking for slats and just having a mattress only. My personal preference is a low-profile bed and it would be easier for the kids to climb into/out of. Otherwise, love it!!!

I bought this to match the dresser. I could not find a blond maple bed but this is the same style and wood if not the same finish. I am satisfied.

Very solid and well-constructed, good quality. Sturdy metal mattress supports with legs down the middle. Looks great in the guest room of my farmhouse-style home. Maple finish is a bit darker than it appears in the photos, at first I thought they might have sent the wrong color, but no, it was just darker than I expected. I like the low-profile height, but you need to get your combined boxspring/mattress height "just so" in order for it to look right. Matching nightstands (I ordered a one-drawer and a two-drawer) are also good and solid.

Look at the pictuire, just like it shows - the foot board is below the top of the mattress. Not so good to hang clothes on. :-)

Other than that - just like the picture shows, nice bed.

PS - It took two months for the bed to come.
