It was a challenge to put together even for two men who are handy with tools. However, when complete, it is sturdy, classic and just as we expected from the description.

It had a damaged part on the ladder, but that was replaced quickly by the company when I notified them and explained what was broken.

I like the product but I am not too happy with Cymax. I ordered this bed and it said mattresses were included with the bed. Upon delivery of the bed there were no mattresses. It has been over a month and still not a word about the mattresses. I think their website was misleading. Also, they are not responding to my emails regarding the mattresses.

In summary,the bed is great - not too happy with the company.

The only thing I saw was with where the ladder attached. You really had to think about it before you assembled the bed, because once it was together; there was no changing your mind (without a whole lot of work!)

While assembling the bunks together, the bottom of the top bunk cracked. Not only that it was the second piece that had done so. Instead of dealing with another replacement part procedure, which was very drawn out, we are now having to keep a broken bed. Its not that the bed was not made well, its just the fact that the fit is too tight and cracks the wood when installed completely. PLEASE BE CAREFUL OF THIS WHEN ASSEMBLING!

We put these bunk beds in my 4 year olds room. I let him pick which one he wanted for his big boy room between this one and one on another website and he choose this one. He loves that he gets to pick where he is going to sleep and his cousin wants to spend the night at our house all the time. I am not sure if I would recommend this for teenagers beause I feel like the boards might snap under too much weight. I have to get on the top to make the bed and it makes me very nervous that they will snap. Other than that we have been very happy with it. The instructions could be a little but more clear maybe if the parts had label stickers on them. You would not know it was wrong until you go to put the rails on the top bunk and then you realize that the headboard and the footboard need to be witched. Other than that it was easy to put together.
