The solid metal frame is constructed of square tube with flared feet. A lower shelf is recessed approximately 6" below the top creating a shadowbox effect that is perfect for books, potpourri, or collectables. The top and lower shelf are inset with two solid pieces of tempered glass while the frame is finished with brushed black paint. I had purchased two of these for a love seat and found a use for another between two low chairs. They don't take up "visual" space because of the glass shelves. The distressed black paint on the metal frame does not detract from the overall appearance. Assembly is easy and if you don't tighten all the screws until after all the pieces are together it will go well. This last table didn't align as well as the other two. But that is only noticeable when you are putting them together.

The table is excellent in eveery way. I looked for over a year before locating one tht suited our needs. The pricing from Cymax was only 2/3 that of some retailers for the exact same coffee table.

These tables appear to be the same as the bunching tables I fell in love with at Pottery Barn - though they sell them for [$] each. Great value - all the looks without the high price tag. Easy to put together and they are sturdy.

I use them as coffee tables in front of a love seat and a sofa. Easy to clean, great space for books and magazines. Easy to move when you need to. The only down side was putting them together but after the first one it was well worth it. I saw the same table for [$] and this was [$] Worth the time for assembly.
