We choose this bookcase because it had four shelves, which is not easy to find. It is the perfect size for my sons room. The bookcase is sturdy. The company includes in the packaging a wood marker that covers up chips in the bookcase, which we used right away because there were a couple of places where the wood was chipped when we opened the package - but not enough to return the product.

The book shelves look great! The color is not what I expected, but they turned out just right for the decor of the room. I receive nice compliments about how they look. Their height is not too close to the ceiling so that there is adequate room for something on top or on the wall above them. They are also wide enough so that there is enough space for all of the books and items that I want to put on them. The shelves are strong, but the back isn't. The back is made of a type of veneer (not wood) that you nail on, but you can't really tell because it matches the wood nicely. The assembly was not difficult. I did it alone. The only issue was with the two different sized eccentric screws. You should pay attention to the instructions so that you don't mix up the 8 (4 each) of them. Regardless, I found the book shelves to be of good quality, especially for the price. Just like I like my purchases, "Gold for little money". A good choice!
