    Although worried about some reviews my spouse read, we purchased the crib and the conversion kit. It arrived without any damage and we put it together within and hour. It looks absolutely beautiful! The bronze colored screw heads are barely noticeable-we used a permanent marker to just color those heads. All in all for the price compared to any other 4-1 crib of this brand from anywhere else-you won't find a better deal. We did wish it came with crib rail protectors-as our son already put a couple bite marks in the wood, but we should have bought them knowing his teeth were coming in. We are already looking to purchase our next crib, as our next son is on the way!

    We brought this crib for our 1st baby coming in October after we did a lot of researches on baby cribs. But when we get the crib, the wood material doesn't meet the quality that I thought it suppose to. The wood is not solid wood and it actually too soft, easy to get scratches. We got Ebony, the printed color is easy to fall off and dirty your wall。
    However, I am still looking forward to let our baby to try the crib, after all, this is the crib with a lot of good reviews from it's construction.

    Husband put it together in less than an hour. It looks great! Seems very sturdy. As others have mentioned, the wood is soft but we plan on putting a rail guard on when the baby gets bigger. We are definitely pleased with our choice. Gave it 4 starts instead of 5 only because of the soft wood, but is perfect in every other way!

      I ordered the crib for my daughter as she was going to be a first time mom. It arrived very quickly to my surprise and was packed very well. It was easy to assemble and is beautiful. The baby isn't due until September so we haven't tried it out yet, but will be very excited to. It is a very pretty crib and I would recommend to anyone. The only things I can say that is not so good is that it does scratch easily but so does any nice piece of furniture. I can tell that the baby will probably bite on the rails as it gets older and the way the crib is made I don't think a bite guard will fit. So it will have to be sanded down and repainted once it is turned into the toddler bed or just live with the "character marks". So far we love the crib and I would buy it again.

      Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

          After researching the best cribs on various consumer web sites, this pick was a no brainer for us. Not only is it one of the safest and most affordable cribs available, it has a very simple elegance. It arrived intact one week after ordering with no scratches or dents. It's a deep, true ebony color with nice lines and will be easy to use. Although I initially thought the exposed screw heads would bother me, I actually don't notice them now that it's all put together. The assembly was pretty easy and took a little over an hour.

          The crib is beautiful, gender neutral, i have one for my son(which is now the toddler bed), and one for my daughter. Converts easily. Very Sturdy. Very beautiful. I would definetly recommend this or any other 'DaVinci' crib. I cant wait to see what it loks like as a full size bed!
