This range of fireplaces includes 13", 14" and 15" deep fireplaces, as measured from the back touching the wall, all the way to the front including the mantle piece. For most people, these fireplaces are pretty slim, almost flat, but they do have the same architecture as other fireplaces. Selecting built in fireplaces, or inserts will reveal some fireplaces that sit flush with the wall, as there is a space behind the wall for the firebox to reside. This range includes some of the shallowest electric fireplace inserts. In most cases these fireplaces are not meant to have TV's placed above them, as they may not be strong enough to support a TV or the TV could in some cases be damaged from heat.
