I shopped and shopped for a tv cabinet that would not be to tall, provide plenty of storage and fit my lcd tv without impairing the viewing angle and finally this cabinet fit the mold. With the extra shelf on top the tv is at the proper viewing height for a sofa. Very easy to put together and quite meaty real wood top and sturdy lower back supports make you at ease to put a pricy tv inside. [...] the style makes for easy/unnoticeable touch-ups if needed. Bottom has ample storage even have more components in one side of lower area which has a divider that provides support for the tv shelf above, as there are wire holes in the bottom as well as two optional behind the upper shelf on top. Spacious substantial piece but doesn't overwhelm the room. You can opt to leave out the top fixed shelf or the adjustable lower shelves or even the doors if you like the open look instead - I like the 'dust cover' clean look so put the doors on. One note would to be careful not to overtighten wood screws. Would be easier with two people but I did it myself on carpet but able to tip unit upright. I shopped full wood units 3k - 8k and this style mimics a brand version, works with black or brown decor and no one knows the difference : )
