Fine Mahogany Furniture
Mahogany is a rich and sophisticated wood finish that has been popular for years. This tropical hardwood is commonly used in traditional and Colonial furniture and cabinetry. Its inherent deep reddish color and straight grain that is free of knots give mahogany a distinctive look. It is also a popular choice for Victorian, Regency and Chippendale furniture styles. Mahogany is easy to work with, accepts stain and is durable enough to withstand years of use, which is why it is still popular today. Read More
If your master suite or guest bedroom are traditional in style, a mahogany headboard might just be the right answer for you. Mahogany headboards are available in a range of sizes, including twin, double, queen and king as well as in a number of price points.
A mahogany headboard will coordinate well with your existing mahogany furnishings. Choose one with classic details to make a real impact. A curvy scalloped shape and modified poster details are some great features. A raised panel headboard in mahogany is an enduring look that works well with a number of bedroom styles. Another panel headboard style has a chic mahogany parquet-inlay look.
For a more modern take on the classic mahogany headboard, an Arts and Crafts or Mission inspired headboard with square spindles or slats is a great choice. It shows off the natural texture of the wood but, unlike a typical panel headboard, allows the finish of the wall behind it to shine through.

Fashion Bed Group Sanford Metal Twin Headboard in Matte Black Finish

When the Sanford Headboard arrived in a 22lb. thin box, I was earnestly concerned about the quality. However, after a simple 5 m
inute construction project, I had a lightweight, sturdy headboard. Before my husband could get home from work, I had assembled the headboard, placed it in the bedroom and attached it to the bed frame. Now we have a simply stated centerpiece to finally make the room. The headboard is functional in that it protects the curtains our bed sits in front of and stops the pillows from wedging between the bed and wall. It is practical in that it was affordable and simple in nature, and it has complimented our decor perfectly. I was a skeptic upon arrival, but pleasantly surprised upon use.
